Why QuranFacts ?

Quranfacts.com is the world’s first known website solely dedicated to answering allegations against specific verses of the Holy Quran – the Muslim holy book believed to be a divine revelation to the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

In recent years, following the phenomenon of terrorism and religious extremism, several organizations and websites have surfaced claiming that such acts are motivated by text of the Quran. Such allegations are presented by cherry-picking verses and certain isolated texts with no intellectual discussion on the context or backdrop of the verse. The terrorists and extremists also use this tactic to dupe their recruits by manipulating the actual meaning of a verse.

The Holy Quran holds a great historical legacy for the freedom of conscience, the emancipation of slavery, the empowerment of women, fundamental human rights, and only permits armed military engagement in defense of these ideals and injunctions. The famous French emperor Napoleon Bonaparte studied the Quran and concluded: “I hope the time is not far off when I shall be able to unite all the wise and educated men of all the countries and establish a uniform regime based on the principles of the Quran and which alone are true and can lead men to happiness.”

Quranfacts.com has been produced by the Muslim Writers Guild of America, an auxiliary of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community USA. The AMC was founded in 1889 by Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (peace be upon him) who Ahmadi Muslims believe to be the Messiah foretold by the Holy Prophet Muhammad (on whom be peace) and Jesus (peace be upon him) as the metaphorical Second Coming of Christ.
